COVID19 and the Ugly Experience of Omah Lay in Uganda

(Omah Lay and Tems, source: Naira Metrics.com)

There was news that circulated the whole Nigeria and Africa in December 2020. It was news of how a Nigerian singer Omah Lay and his fellow singer Tems were arrested in Uganda and maltreated because of Corona Virus. The Ugandan officials said the duo (Omah Lay and Tems) did not follow COVID19 “protocols.” The bitter truth is that COVID19 is NOT in Africa the way it is in other parts of the world; but the GULLIBLE African leaders have made themselves puppets before Europe, USA and other countries of the world—to the extent that “whatever” direction they (the African leaders) are pushed they fall to. Are they really leaders?

Now, I do not usually follow the noise of the media but I remember hearing this information about Omah Lay’s experience in Uganda and how he was arrested in Uganda and treated like a thief because of the so-called COVID19. I was really disappointed by the actions of the Ugandan police. The question now is if it were foreigners (by foreigners I mean for example people from Europe or America; Caucasians) that came to perform in Uganda; would they treat them they way they treated Omah Lay and Tems? If really the Ugandan officials so cared for their citizens why did they not accept the COVID vaccine made by Madagascar? No, because the vaccine is from an African country they will not accept it.

(Omah Lay)

Omah Lay’s song Godly has been buzzing everywhere; so I downloaded it to my phone and listened to the lyrics. I was playing it while I typed this post. It is really touching; I was overwhelmed and enfolded in sobriety. I have been hearing the song but I did not pick interest in it until I went to an errand to the town today and I heard them play it across various places in the town; the lyrics are really touching. You can read the lyrics of Godly by Omah Lay here. Such experience of Omah Lay in Uganda can land someone in depression…I  never thought I would write a post about Omah Lay but his song Godly—born out of his “nightmare” in Uganda actually made me sit down to write this. It is not actually a funny experience—you do not want to be in that kind of reality. Omah Lay has his own side of the story; something which you would love to hear.

My final thought is that I just hope this COVID19 madness comes to an end because we have had enough of pretense and lies from the media, the so-called Nigerian leaders, other world leaders and people who have been “masquerading? COVID19 to perpetuate harm and evil on their fellow humans; the outbreak of this COVID19 revealed A LOT of things to me…!!!

The issue is an issue that not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about. Now i’m very happy that I came across this during my search for something concerning this.
